KFC, where Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade worked as a teenager, is offering to donate $250,000 to a scholarship program if he returns to work at a drive-through.

John Cywinski, general manager of U.S. KFC restaurants, said the fried chicken eatery will donate the money in Wade's name to its Colonel Scholars program if Wade agrees to man a drive-through window at one of its locations, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Tuesday.

Cywinski said the offer was inspired by Wade's Twitter post asking if anyone is hiring after the announcement of the NBA lockout.

"We couldn't help but notice your recent tweet about looking for a new line of work in light of the lockout," the manager said in a letter to Wade. "We're always looking for folks with precisely your qualifications initiative, teamwork and the ability to make buckets in a hurry."
