Dozer, the half-marathon-running dog from Maryland, has raised more than $14,000 for cancer research on his Web page.

Dozer is a 3-year-old goldendoodle from Fulton, Md., who ran the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center half marathon May 15, unbeknownst to his owners. Now, he has a Web site where he is raising money for cancer research, www.ummsfoundation.org/dozer
Dozer's goal is $17,500; his supporters have contributed $16,674 so far.
Dozer entered the half-marathon at the 5 mile or 6 mile mark and completed the last 7 miles of the race, crossing the finish line at the 2:14:24 mark, ESPN reported. The dog left his owners' home unnoticed during the race and returned in the morning on May 16. The next day, on Thursday of that week he was presented with a medal of completion of the race.
