The Dixie Chicks held onto the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums and Top Country Albums charts for a second week Wednesday with "Taking the Long Way."

Holding onto the No. 2 spot in its 21st week on the Billboard 200 was Disney's "High School Musical" soundtrack, followed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Stadium Arcadium" at No. 3.
Rascal Flatts' "Me and My Gang" was No. 4 on the albums chart, "American Idol Season 5: Encores" compilation was No. 5 and the 21st "NOW! That's What I Call Music" moved up from No. 11 last week to take the No. 6 spot.
Don Omar's "King of Kings" entered the Billboard 200 at No. 7 and the "WWE: Wreckless Intent" soundtrack entered the charts at No. 8.
Tool's "10,000 Days" continued to fall, coming in at No. 9, with Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts" rounding out the Top 10.
Overall U.S. CD sales totaled 9.3 million units, a 7 percent drop from the previous week and 10 percent behind sales registered the same week last year. Sales for 2006 to date are lagging 3 percent behind the same period in 2005.
