Disappointed customer sues psychic

UPI News Service, 06/20/2006

An ex-customer has filed suit in Colorado, claiming that a psychic reneged on a promise to return $170,000 once she had used it to reverse his "bad karma."

In court papers, Timothy John Strating of Montana said that Nathalie Roberts, who was operating as a psychic in Longmont, Colo., told him that giving her the money and gift cards from a number of stores would "help raise his energy level," thus changing the karma of his relationships with women, the Boulder (Colo.) Camera reported. He claims that Roberts promised to return the money once it had done its work.

Roberts is no longer practicing in Colorado. Adam Marks told the newspaper that he bought her practice when she moved to California.

Marks said that Strating and Roberts began a romantic relationship that continued for a year.

"I don't believe there to be anything criminal, unless it's against the law for a girl to break a guy's heart," Marks told the Camera.
