'Desperate Housewives' star James Denton to host Miss America

"Desperate Housewives" star James Denton is the host of the Miss America Pageant at its new home on cable's Country Music Television, CMT.

Denton also has a first-look development deal with CMT, the network announced in a news release Wednesday.

"Miss America" has not only a new network but a new home base as well and will air live on CMT Jan. 21 from Las Vegas.
