U.S. actresses Nicollette Sheridan, who plays Edie Britt, on ABC-TV's "Desperate Housewives" is engaged to actor Nicklas Soderblom, her publicist said.

E online! reported that Sherdian, who played Paige Matheson on "Knots Landing" from 1986 to 1993, had been married to "L.A. Law" star Harry Hamlin from 1991 to 1993 and she dated crooner Michael Bolton and onetime teen idol Leif Garrett.

Sheridan recently was given a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe nomination for her role in "Desperate Housewives." The show scored five Globe nominations, including Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, and Best Actress, Musical or Comedy Series for costars Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.

Soderblom, born in Sweden, has appeared in "Mobster Assistant," and appeared on TV's "Spin City."
