Whitney Port is apparently having some legal problems.
"Ms. Baravetto did the heavy lifting for these designs and she just wants to get paid fairly," her attorney Peter Maretz told People.
According to the lawsuit, Baravetto alleges that an oral agreement she made with Port and her father would compensate her $80,000 a year and also provide her a 25% stake in the company, People reported. Port has denied Baravetto's lawsuit, calling it "baseless and without merit." "Whitney Port is, and always has been, the designer of Whitney Eve. Baravetto worked for Whitney Eve for a short period of time ending in early 2008. For more than two years, she has been silent," Port attorney Michael A. Taitelman told People. "For reasons that we will uncover, she has decided to make these unsubstantiated allegations at this time. The defendants will vigorously defend themselves, and upon the successful conclusion of this lawsuit in their favor, they intend to hold Baravetto and her counsel accountable for their reckless conduct." The City's second season is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, April 27 at 10:30PM ET/PT on MTV.
