Designer Georgio Armani said he thinks he knows why British soccer star David Beckham chose to play with the Los Angles Galaxy: Hollywood is close by.

Armani said Beckham did the right thing by signing with the Galaxy, People magazine reported. And the designer said the footballer may want to get into acting eventually.
"He is a very handsome man, and his football career could be nearing an end," he said.
Beckham, 31, and his wife, Victoria (formerly Posh Spice) are scheduled to move to Los Angeles later this year.
