Derek Peth is getting The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher's attention all the while rubbing some of his fellow bachelors the wrong way.

JoJo and Derek, a 29-year-old commercial banker from Waverly, IA, enjoyed a one-on-one date earlier in the season in which they went on a roadtrip, flew to San Francisco, and enjoyed a picnic by the Golden Gate Bridge.

Derek saw potential in a relationship with JoJo and developed a crush on her right off the bat. She gave him butterflies and he felt comfortable around her. Meanwhile, JoJo thought Derek was kind and genuine. He's been doing his best ever since to open up his heart again following a failed relationship that crushed him.
