Dennis Miller tapped to host Critics' Choice Awards broadcast

Comedian Dennis Miller was named Tuesday as host of the WB TV network's broadcast of the 11th annual Critics' Choice Awards.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association votes on the awards, which will be handed out Jan. 8 at the Santa Monica, Calif., Civic Auditorium.

It will mark the second consecutive Critics Choice broadcast for the WB, Daily Variety said Tuesday.

It will be a busy month for Miller. His seventh HBO comedy special is scheduled to debut on the premium channel in January as well.
