"Hope to see everyone soon on tour," Lovato tweeted Friday.
Lovato will play the Motor City Nov. 16 and venture as far west as Houston and Dallas in her home state of Texas.
Lovato, 21, was on a roll last fall but abruptly pulled out of her tour with the teen-idol Jonas Brothers to seek treatment for what were called personal issues.
The Los Angeles Times said the issues included serious matters such as bipolar and eating disorders.
The former star of Disney's "Sonny with a Chance" has since bounced back with a new album and the single "Skyscraper."
The Times said tickets for Lovato's tour go on sale Oct. 14, although there are no plans for shows on the West Coast at this time.
