The chat will run on "Good Morning America" and "20/20" April 22, the network said.
"With her own hit television show and starring roles in popular movies, gold records and an international concert tour, Demi Lovato appeared to have it all. But during her tour last fall, the 18-year-old star slowly began to unravel and, after a family intervention, checked into treatment," ABC said in a news release.
"Now Demi sits down for her first television interview since spending three months in treatment. She speaks candidly to ABC News Anchor Robin Roberts about her struggles with cutting and food addictions, and, for the first time, talks about the depression that has plagued her since childhood -- and how she's learning to find her smile again."
The teen actress and singer is the star of the Disney Channel series "Sonny with a Chance."
