Former "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider" star David Hasselhoff has filed for divorce from his wife, Pamela Bach, it was reported Friday.

Hasselhoff's New York publicist issued a statement saying the couple have decided to end their 16-year marriage due to "irreconcilable differences," People magazine reported.
Hasselhoff, 53, and Bach, 42, wed in December 1989. They have two teenage daughters.
Before Bach, Haselhoff was married to actress Cathrine Hickland. They had no children.
Bach appeared on CBS daytime's "The Young and The Restless" as well as numerous episodes of "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider," People said.
