David Arquette is gearing up for his directorial debut, it was reported Monday.

Arquette co-wrote the screenplay for "The Tripper," the horror film he's also directing, Daily Variety said. The film is being produced by Coquette Productions, which is owned by Arquette and his wife, Courtney Cox.
The Hollywood twosome are will make cameo appearances in the film starring "Sin City's" Jamie King, Jason Mewes of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," Paul "Pee Wee Herman" Reubens, Thomas Jane, Lukas Hass and Balthazar Getty.
Shooting of "The Tripper" is scheduled to begin this month in Santa Cruz, Calif.
