Mercury Skyline Yacht Charters Inc., which owns the city's Little Lady tour boat, say the Matthews bus dumped human excrement as it crossed a downtown Chicago River bridge last August under which the plaintiff's boat was passing, the Sun-Times said Thursday.
The suit, filed Wednesday, says the "foul-smelling, brownish-yellow liquid" drenched children, senior citizens, people with disabilities and a pregnant woman.
Mercury wants compensatory damages in excess of $50,000 and punitive damages in the amount of $5 million.
The driver of Matthews' bus was charged last month with illegally dumping 800 pounds of raw sewage onto the boat.
