Darby Walker is on Miley Cyrus' team heading into the show's upcoming "Knockout Round," and she couldn't be more thankful for the opportunity.

Darby, a 17-year-old from Atlanta, GA, was paired up with 22-year-old Karlee Metzger for a performance of "Brand New Key" by folk singer named Melanie.

"Honestly, going into our Battle, we approached it more as a duet. Our goal the entire time was to make good music and we stuck by that," Darby told Reality TV World on Tuesday.

"So going into it, I wasn't -- honestly, when I was singing, I wasn't thinking about [winning]. I was more just really in the moment with Karlee and enjoying what we were doing."

Miley told Karlee on the show she was very centered in the performance and excelled vocally, however, the coach said Darby has an amazing personality and always delivers awesome entertainment.

"Afterwards, I had NO clue which way Miley was going to go, because it could've gone either way. Karlee is unbelievably talented," Darby explained.

Miley decided to keep Darby on her team because she's a joy to work with, but Karlee got stolen by Blake Shelton, so she will resume competing on The Voice's eleventh season.

"I'm just really grateful that she did choose me," Darby noted.

As for why Darby believes Miley opted to keep her, the bubbly artist admitted, "I think it does come down to preference and who they feel like they are connected to."

"I don't know, I'm not in her mind," Darby continued, "but I'm really happy to still be on her team. That was one of the best performances I feel like I've ever given, so it was a ton of fun."

The Voice's "Battle Round" came to a close on Tuesday night, so the "Knockout Round" will commence next week.
