At the end of Monday night's Dancing with the Stars performance show, Maples and her pro partner Tony Dovolani were eliminated.

"I was so sad. Truly my heart is broken," Maples said during a Tuesday Good Morning America appearance. "I loved the show. I've had a rough few years and this helped me learn not just how to walk again but how to dance. I really hoped to continue and I hoped we could keep sharing the fun."

Dovolani had a wonderful time on Season 22 as well, saying he was "stunned" by last night's results.

"I have to say for the first time in 21 seasons I actually did not expect this at all," Dovolani explained. "We had such a great journey, she was growing every single week. It felt like we were really hitting our stride and then when they announced us, literally I was speechless."

"He's the greatest teacher and hardest worker," Donald Trump's second ex-wife added.

Maples' daughter, Tiffany Trump, is also "extremely sad" about her mother's DWTS departure.

"She's so proud. She's extremely sad that we're not still in it because she knows how much this meant to me and to Tony, and she knows how hard we worked," Maples said of Tiffany, who will soon be graduating from college.

"We worked so hard. We gave everything. But she's going to be alright. She's proud of her mama and that's what you want your babies to be. You want to inspire your children and I'm so grateful for all the women and daughters that have been so supportive and I just hope we can keep inspiring each other."

Dovolani gushed about how much fun he had with Maples this season.

"I can't even call it a job because I love [Dancing with the Stars] that much. I teach people how to live, how to let go, how to overcome certain insecurities. So, for me, it's an opportunity to share what I love doing with the masses," the pro dancer said on GMA.

"We had a few insecurities to overcome," Maples admitted with a laugh.
