Dancing with the Stars contestant Nyle DiMarco is pretty banged up already and Season 22 hasn't even premiered yet.

DiMarco, who won the latest season of America's Next Top Model, got stitches above his eye after an accident in rehearsal left him injured.

In a preview clip of Monday night's debut episode obtained by Us Weekly, pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd elbowed DiMarco just above his eye by mistake as they were attempting to accomplish a quick stunt.

"Oh, my God," Murgatroyd said after the blow. "I'm so sorry. I have never hit anyone that badly in my whole life."

DiMarco ended up going to the hospital. Upon his return to the Dancing with the Stars studio, the 26-year-old model, who is deaf, explained what happened.

DiMarco's interpreter told the cameras, "So I just left the hospital. I had to get four stitches on my left eyebrow. I definitely realized today that dancing is definitely a full-contact sport, and I like it!"

Although Murgatroyd felt bad about the incident, she got to rehearse with DiMarco half naked. He showed off his physique by taking off his shirt during rehearsal.

"Yes!" Murgatroyd quipped about him disrobing. "I'm totally fine with this."

Dancing with the Stars premieres Monday, March 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
