After being nominated for eviction by Alison Irwin, the fourth Head of Household, Dana Varela was evicted last night from the "Big Brother 4" house based on the votes of her fellow Houseguests. Dana received more votes than fellow nominee Jun Song. Robert Roman won the Power of Veto and chose not to use it.

During last night's live broadcast, Dana learned her fate, said her good-byes and left the house. After leaving "Big Brother 4," Dana was interviewed by Julie Chen about her experience.

Dana received a unanimous vote from the six Houseguests. As Head of Household, Alison was ineligible to vote unless there had been a tie.

The Houseguests compete each Wednesday to become Head of Household. The perks of the position include having a luxurious private bedroom stocked with favorite foods, but it also includes the responsibility of having to nominate two fellow housemates for eviction. However, one of the nominees can be saved from the chopping block if they or another housemate wins the Power of Veto competition and chooses to save one of the nominees while giving themselves immunity from nomination. If they choose to use the veto power, the Head of Household must immediately choose another nominee.
