Quirky cult film director John Waters is the host of Court TV's first scripted series, described as a dark, edgy anthology.
Waters will play a character called "The Groom Reaper," who will guide viewers through stories based on marriages that end in death.
Court TV said the series will be set up similar to the classic "Twilight Zone," except each episode will be based on an actual crime.
No firm date has been set for the series premiere, expected to be sometime next year.
