Dallas Fire-Rescue officials said Thalia Rodriguez, 23, and her fiance, William Mancera, 26, were stuck on the "Texas Blastoff" ride at Zero Gravity Thrill Park when the cables locked up at the end of their ride at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, WFAA-TV, Dallas/Fort Worth, reported Tuesday.
Firefighters said they used an aerial truck ladder and brought the couple back down to the ground shortly after 10 p.m. Rodriguez and Mancera were checked out by paramedics and taken to a hospital for further observation.
Mancera posted a message on WFAA's Facebook page shortly after midnight thanking the Fire Department and stating he and Rodriguez had made it home safe.
