A California company is operating a service to allow people to connect with psychologists via phone at any time of the day.

Call for Therapy, based in West Hollywood, said it has a team of therapists available to talk to callers at all times of the day on any day of the week.

"We found that people were having trouble using the old-fashioned therapy system. Our service gives you someone to guide you through your situation -- someone who is understanding, professional, and there expressly to listen to you," said David Gonen, president of the company.

"Talking to a psychologist can transform a setback into the beginning of something great," Gonen said. "Call for Therapy provides that life direction."

The company said the service is currently limited to California for the development phase.
