Coldplay's third studio album, "X&Y," retained the top spot for a second week Wednesday in the Billboard 200, selling 323,000 copies, Nielsen SoundScan reports.

There was strong competition from new discs by Foo Fighters, the Backstreet Boys and Fat Joe.
At No. 2 with 311,000 copies sold, Foo Fighters earned their highest Billboard 200 position with the double-disc, "In Your Honor."
Logging their fifth top 5 album on The Billboard 200, the Backstreet Boys are in third place with "Never Gone," with sales of 290,000 copies.
Fat Joe rounded out the top 10 debuts with his best sales week and Billboard 200 career high mark with "All or Nothing," which entered at No. 6 on sales of 106,500 units.
