MTV Tuesday added 50 Cent and Coldplay to the growing number of live performances during the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards.

Coldplay has four VMA nominations including Video of the Year for "Speed of Sound" while 50 Cent is nominated for Best Male Video for "Candy Shop" and Best Rap Video with the Game for "Hate It or Love It."

Previously announced performers include Shakira, Ludacris, Mariah Carey, the Killers, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson and Green Day.

Among the growing list of presenters are Jessica Simpson, Lil' Kim, Ricky Martin, Ashlee Simpson, Bow Wow, Eva Longoria, Nelly, Hilary Duff, Ciara and Alicia Keys.

Diddy, who Tuesday changed his name from P. Diddy, will be the host for the awards show, which is to be broadcast live over MTV on Aug. 28 from Miami.
