Claire Danes' publicist has confirmed the U.S. actress has given birth to her first child, a son.

Danes, 33, married actor Hugh Dancy, 37, in 2009.
Their son, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, was born Monday, her representative told People.com Wednesday.
No other details about the boy's birth were immediately reported.
