Illinois-born Chris O'Donnell has signed on to the new TNT limited TV series "The Company," in which the actor will play a CIA recruit.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the six-hour series will detail the CIA's actions during the Cold War, focusing on the double lives that agents were forced to lead.
O'Donnell will play a loyal CIA agent whose resolve is put to the test in the world of espionage in "The Company," which was based on a best-selling novel from author Robert Littell
The series came to TNT from executive producers Ridley and Tony Scott, John Calley and Sony Pictures Television, the Reporter said.
