Chris Hemsworth's publicist told People.com the Australian actor's wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, is pregnant with their first child.

The baby is due to be born this spring, the celebrity news Web site said.
"Chris and I are ecstatic, very happy and excited," Pataky, 35, told Hola! magazine. "Since it's our first child we don't care if it's a boy or girl, our only wish is that it's healthy."
The couple married in 2010.
Hemsworth, 28, is best known for his work in "Thor."
Pataky starred in TV's "Queen of Swords" and had a supporting role in the film "Fast Five."
