Chris Brown lost his temper and smashed a window at the "Good Morning America" studio in New York Tuesday, TMZ reported.

The celebrity news Web site cited unnamed sources as saying the singer flew into a rage after "GMA" anchor Robin Roberts asked him questions about a violent episode involving his ex-girlfriend, pop star Rihanna.

Brown, who is making the rounds promoting his new album, is on probation for assaulting Rihanna during a heated argument in a car in February 2009.

ABC insiders told TMZ Brown was frustrated with the direction the interview went, stormed into his dressing room, screamed and shattered a window with a chair.

Security was called to the room, but by the time they arrived Brown already had ripped off his shirt and confronted a "GMA" segment producer, then left the building, TMZ reported.
