Wilcox, 63, is best known for his work on TV's "CHiPs" between 1977 and 1982.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel said U.S. District Judge James I. Cohn sentenced Wilcox in a court in Fort Lauderdale Friday.
The actor was charged after he traveled to Florida from California to meet with an undercover agent posing as a pension fund employee, and then offered kickbacks in exchange for the pension fund purchasing shares of his company UC Hub Group, which describes itself as being involved in the mining business, the newspaper said.
Wilcox's attorney said after the actor learned he was under federal investigation, he volunteered to help build two other criminal cases and agreed to give a presentation on his case at an FBI training conference in March, the Sun Sentinel noted.
