The animated family movie raked in another $17.51 million in estimated gross ticket sales, keeping a leg up on its competitors and stay No. 1.

Two new offerings came in at Nos. 2 and 3 -- "Quarantine" and "Body of Lies." "Quarantine," a thriller written and directed by John Erick Dowdle, earned an estimated $14.2 million in ticket sales, while "Body of Lies," an action drama starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe, tallied $13.12 million.

The next two spots went to "Eagle Eye" at $11.02 million and "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" at $6.5 million.

Debuting at No. 6 with $4.73 million in ticket sales was "The Express," starring Rob Brown as Ernie Davis, the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy.

Next up were "Nights in Rodanthe" with $4.61 million, "Appaloosa" with $3.34 million and "The Duchess," which zoomed up from No. 20 with $3.32 million in its fourth week in U.S. theaters. "Duchess" is a historical drama about 18th century aristocrat Georgiana, duchess of Devonshire starring Keira Knightley.

Another new movie, "City of Ember," a futuristic adventure featuring Tim Robbins and Bill Murray, pulled in $3.2 million.

Falling out of the Top 10 were "Lakeview Terrace," "Burn After Reading," "Fireproof," "An American Carol" and "Religulous."
