UPI News Service, 01/22/2005

The U.S. TV network CBS has pulled the John Goodman comedy "Center of the Universe" replacing it with "Yes, Dear."

"Center of the Universe" starring Goodman, Jean Smart, Olympia Dukakis and Ed Asner, averaged just over 9 million viewers per week, losing about 1.3 million viewers from "King of Queens," in its Wednesday 9:30 p.m. EST time slot, reported zap2it.com.

"The King of Queens" is telecast at 9:00 a.m. EST for a comedy block leading into "CSI: NY."

CBS ordered 15 "Center of the Universe" shows and aired 12 episodes.
