As we've previously reported, "Cupid" challenges America to find the perfect mate for one eligible young woman, Lisa Shannon, a 25-year-old Detroit advertising agency copywriter who has been unlucky in love. Along with her girlfriends, Kimberly and Laura, Lisa will begin a nationwide search to find the man of her dreams.

The 11-episode series has two distinct parts. The first two episodes feature Lisa crisscrossing the country with her two friends auditioning potential suitors (who are either sincerely trying to win her affection or not-so-sincerely seeking her one million dollar dowry). In episode three, the men who made the first cut have one more chance to impress Lisa and her friends before they select the final 10 candidates. Beginning in episode four, Lisa will get to know each of the 10 finalists better through a series of dates, with her friends reacting live to the filmed dates. Then, America will get the chance to play Cupid, as the guy with the least amount of votes is eliminated each week.

Once America casts their final vote, it's up to Lisa and her Mr. Right. Will he propose to her? Will she accept? And, will the couple be able to claim the $1 million dowry that's at stake if they stay together?

Brian McFayden, best-known as an MTV Veejay, will host the series. Simon Cowell, Craig Piligian ("Survivor") and Ken Warrick ("American Idol") are the executive producers for Cupid Productions, Inc., in association with FremantleMedia North America, Inc.
