The former American Idol champion married fiance Mike Fisher at a Southern luxury resort on Saturday, People reported.

"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!" the couple told People in a statement.

The 27-year-old fourth-season Idol winner reportedly wore a Chantilly lace dress designed by Monique Lhuillier for the wedding, which was attended by 250 guests and featured classical music and the readings of the couple's favorite Bible passages.

The ceremony took place at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in Greensboro, GA and cost over $500,000, according to RadarOnline.com.

"She has blocked off all 251 rooms at the hotel," Carey Williams, the editor of Greensboro's The Herald Journal newspaper, told the website, which estimated the cost of the buyout at $268,000.

Underwood and Fisher, a 30-year-old hockey player for the NHL's Ottawa Senators, are expected to spend their honeymoon night in the resort's Presidential House, a 5,400 square-foot suite that includes a gourmet kitchen, a private pool and a dining room that seats 16 people.

The couple got engaged on December 20 after dating for about a year, which Underwood called "the longest relationship" she's ever had during a November appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Earlier this year, Underwood told People that she and Fisher plan to split their time between homes in Nashville and Peterborough, Ontario.
