Carrie Fisher was posthumously nominated for a 2017 Primetime Emmy Award this week for her guest role on "Catastrophe."

"Catastrophe" star Sharon Horgan reacted Thursday after Fisher was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her appearance on the Amazon series.

"Very happy and sad and proud and messed up and delighted about our friend Carrie Fisher's nomination @robdelaney @catastrophe_tv," the 47-year-old actress, who plays Sharon Morgan, tweeted.

Fisher, who died at age 60 on Dec. 27 after having a heart attack, was nominated for her role as Mia in Episode 6, Season 3, which aired in April.

She previously appeared in two episodes of Season 1 and two episodes of Season 2.

"The really tough time was obviously first finding out about her heart attack, and then finding out that she didn't pull through," Horgan told People in April. "That was horrific."

"I think the next difficult thing was being in the edit [room] and watching her on screen yet no longer being with us," she said. "That was really tough because she was so alive on screen, and we had wrapped with her just days earlier. It felt surreal -- it didn't sort of make sense."

Fisher previously earned two Emmy nominations, including one in the same category in 2008 for her guest role on "30 Rock."

Posthumous Emmy nominations are common, but only six actors have won awards posthumously.
