Caila Quinn's heart was broken by Ben Higgins on The Bachelor without a doubt, and she apparently didn't handle it well at first.

"There are different stages of grief," Quinn told People of the split, which aired during Monday night's The Bachelor broadcast. "The first one that hit me was anger."

Higgins sent Quinn home after their Fantasy Suite date but before the Rose Ceremony. Quinn sweetly tried to surprise Higgins at his villa in Rio Chico, Jamaica, only to get blindsided and dumped. Higgins admitted he felt love for the other two women -- Lauren Bushnell and Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher.

When Higgins ousted Quinn from the show, he told her that he'd miss her and it was really hard to imagine saying goodbye to her. Quinn, however, wasn't buying it. She even told the Bachelor it sounded disingenuous, "like a line."

"I felt like Ben was kind of rehearsed," confessed Quinn, a 24-year-old software sales representative from Hudson, OH. "I just wanted him to be real with me."

But hindsight is always 20/20, and watching The Bachelor unfold on television has helped Quinn gain some insight and move on.

"I can see how his relationship progressed with the other women, so that made it easier for me to understand. That doesn't mean it wasn't hard. But I do see that Ben is happy and I don't want to live in the past," the bachelorette told People.

Quinn is currently single and open to the idea of finding love again with a man who will reciprocate such feelings.

"I'm really happy for JoJo and Lauren," Quinn insisted. "They fell hard for Ben and he opened up with them. I want to find someone who feels that passionately about me that he can't help but tell me how he feels. That will happen one day!"
