Caila Quinn was reportedly chosen as The Bachelorette's next star until Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher replaced her at the last minute because of The Bachelor's heart-crushing ending. So how did Quinn take the news?

Days after Quinn shot her introduction clip for The Bachelorette's twelfth season, producers informed the 24-year-old software sales representative from Hudson, OH, that The Bachelor's runner-up had landed the gig instead.

Quinn "wasn't angry, just sad" over her replacement, a show source told Us Weekly in its March 28 issue.

Fletcher, a 25-year-old real estate developer from Dallas, TX, won Bachelor Nation over because in the finale of Ben Higgins' season, he confessed his love to her and said he couldn't live without her before proposing at the Final Rose Ceremony to Lauren Bushnell.

Show executives reportedly couldn't ignore "the overwhelming response to JoJo's story."

Despite the letdown, Quinn took to Twitter on March 15 to congratulate Fletcher on becoming the next Bachelorette as well as Bushnell for winning Higgins' heart.

"Congratulations to these beautiful girls! Sending love as the journey isn't over, it's only just beginning," she captioned a photo of them.

Quinn's next adventure will be moving to New York City to find love.
