The New York Daily News said 19-year-old Jasmine Stigall was unloading groceries at her home when the cab drove off Monday with her 2-month-old son still strapped in his car seat.
Stigall called police but didn't know what company the cab was from, so police started contacting every livery company in the area, the Daily News said.
It was nearly two hours before the cabdriver realized the sleeping child was still inside the car, the newspaper said. The cabdriver quickly returned to the dispatch office and called police, who alerted Stigall. She rushed to the scene, where she was reunited with her son as he woke from his nap, the newspaper said.
