Brittany Murphy engaged to production assistant Joseph Macaluso

Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy has gotten engaged to production assistant Joseph Macaluso, it was reported Monday.

Murphy, 28, accepted the proposal from Macaluso, 32, at the end of December, Us Weekly reported.
Murphy was seen showing her nearly 4-carat Tiffany ring at a luncheon during the weekend at the Ivy in Los Angeles, Us said.
No wedding date was set.
The couple met on the set of "Little Black Book" in 2003.
