The Daily Telegraph reported the low-profile trip involved the Camerons taking a budget airline from Stansted, England, to Spain and staying at a three-star hotel in the Realejo offering rooms for $171 to $186.
The couple's two-day trip, a celebration of Samantha Cameron's birthday next week, ended Friday with a return flight to London. The Camerons are preparing to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary in June.
The prime minister is said to have paid the costs for the trip out of pocket, The Telegraph reported.
