Jennifer Aniston has been seen in Los Angeles without her diamond-studded wedding band, the London Daily Mail reported Tuesday.

The sighting comes amid rumors Aniston's four-year marriage to Brad Pitt is shaky although the couple recently was photographed chumming it up on the Riviera.

Friends deny Pitt and Angelina Jolie are growing close after the two were seen holding hands on the set of their new film, "Mr. And Mrs. Smith."

Pitt flew to Los Angeles alone on a private jet Friday after just 24 hours in London and Aniston returned to town just hours later on a flight from Heathrow. She had been planning Pitt's 41st birthday party Saturday while he was in London to promote "Ocean's Twelve," his new movie.

"Their time in (Britain) overlapped by a few days and Jennifer put off doing a lot of things she wanted to do so she could visit them with her husband," a friend told the Daily Mail. "She was particularly keen to go to Camden market and shopping in Knightsbridge. In the end, though, she did none of these things as Brad was barely in (Britain) for 24 hours. He flew in on Thursday and left again the next day."
