Former Hollywood golden couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have hired a private divorce judge to end their marriage.

Temporary Judge Jill Robbins will meet with the couple in their lawyers' California offices, which will ensure details surrounding the split do not appear in public court papers, the World Entertainment News Network reported Thursday.

"This is a rent-a-judge situation. It's something that can only be done in the state of California," celebrity divorce lawyer Raoul Felder told WENN.

Despite widespread speculation Pitt left his wife for actress Angelina Jolie, Aniston did not mention a third party or infidelity when she filed for divorce earlier this year.
