Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess are opening up about their explosive chemistry on Dancing with the Stars and the questionable crotch grab seen around the world.

When Nick Viall and partner Peta Murgatroyd joined Dancing with the Stars co-host Erin Andrews backstage to find out their scores on Monday night's show, a camera caught Bonner -- who was sitting in a chair next to a standing Sharna -- putting his arm around the pro dancer's waist and resting his hand on her crotch. Sharna quickly and discreetly moved Bonner's hand away, but the gesture sparked gossip on social media.

Many fans accused Bonner of inappropriately groping Sharna in that moment since the pair had obvious chemistry onstage and sexual tension behind the scenes. A producer even pointed out that Sharna was "blushing" when she first met the professional bull rider-turned-model.

"I was just stargazed by Nick and Peta's performance and I was looking at the TV screen," Bonner recalled of the incident to Entertainment Tonight.

"I felt her bump into me yet I wasn't really looking at what was bumping into me. There was some hand placement that went south, so to speak."

Bonner insisted the backstage action was "totally unintentional," and Sharna whole-heartedly agrees.

"Anyone who has the ridiculous idea that it was intentional...is straight up stupid. As in lacking [the] intelligence to realize it was innocent," Sharna tweeted after the premiere.

"@bonner_bolton's a true southern gentleman & was so embarrassed that it even happened let alone got caught on camera for gossips to gawk at."

Sharna also told E! News after the show that "everyone made such a big deal out of" her chemistry with Bonner last night and it left them both "a little bit speechless."

"I've never blushed on this show, ever in my life, and I legit blushed tonight because I didn't know what to say," Sharna told the website after she performed a cha cha with Bonner worth 22 judges' points out of 40 possible points.

"Obviously we have chemistry. We're not going to stand here and lie and say we don't, but everyone made such a big deal tonight that I didn't really know what to say to it."

And it's definitely not a stretch to say Bonner and Sharna -- who admitted they are both single -- are at least physically attracted to each other.

"The day I met her on the ranch, I looked up, they had me leading the horse," Bonner told ET, "and I looked out under the brim of my hat, there she was, just a fiery redhead. [She] just took my breath away, man."

Bonner was even worried about being distracted by Sharna's beauty during their first dance together on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

"I was telling her before we started tonight, 'I can't look at you for too long. I might get distracted. That's why I might miss some of my steps.' She's obviously beautiful," the buff model and cowboy told People.

Sharna, however, is currently focused on the competition and training her celebrity partner in ballroom dance. She insisted to multiple media outlets that she is "a professional" above all else.

"I'll be the first to say that she is as 100 percent a professional as she is beautiful," Bonner echoed. "She's a great teacher. She's pushing me hard; I'm working hard. I just want to make her proud."
