Big Brother crowned a new Head of Household, who in turn nominated two houseguests for eviction, during Sunday night's Season 20 broadcast on CBS.

Sam Bledsoe, a 27-year-old welder from Stuarts Draft, VA, won the Head of Household competition and decided to put Haleigh Broucher, a 21-year-old college student from Village Mills, TX, who currently resides in College Station, TX, and Kaitlyn Herman, a 24-year-old life coach from Plainview, NY, who currently resides in Encino, CA, on the chopping block.

Sam, however, was well aware when making her nominations that her "Bonus Life" power app ends this week, meaning the person who gets evicted from the house will automatically rejoin the game and resume competing for the $500,000 grand prize.

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 30, with the remainder of the HoH competition dubbed "Out On A Limb."

For the competition, the players had to hold onto a tree for as long as possible while the logs were tilted forward and they were sprayed with honey, bird poop and more.

Angie "Rockstar" Lantry was livid about Brett Robinson's lie that she had conspired against her alliance before Winston Hines' vote off and therefore really wanted to win HoH. She said "how dare" Brett make up such a lie about her.

In a flashback to moments after Winston's eviction, Kaitlyn was shown asking Tyler Crispen to swear on his father's grave that he did not flip on her, which infuriated Tyler. Tyler said he would never swear on his dad, and Kaitlyn seemed to understand.

But Tyler did in fact vote out Winston, and he knew if Kaitlyn's side of the house figured that out, he would "be screwed." Meanwhile, Haleigh felt there was no one in the house she could trust.

The HoH competition ultimately came down to Kaycee Clark, Tyler, Kaitlyn, and Sam.

Kaitlyn and Kaycee dropped after 61 minutes, and then Sam promised Tyler she wouldn't nominate him for eviction as long as he dropped, so he obliged.

Tyler knew winning another HoH would make him seem like a big physical threat and put a target on his back, so he felt it was the right decision to make.

After the competition, Rockstar threatened to quit the game because she missed her family terribly and Brett had really hurt her feelings.

She cried in the Diary Room about how guys like Brett "always win," but Bayleigh Dayton had a "power app" she could use to keep her allies safe, so she persuaded Rockstar to keep plugging along.

Faysal Shafaat then spoke to JC Mounduix about how he didn't have loyalty to anyone, and JC promised to have his back.

JC and Tyler's previous plan was to vote for Winston and blame the betrayal on Kaitlyn when approached. JC assumed the strategy would make Faysal trust him more, and it appeared to work.

But Faysal was desperate to find out who was telling him the truth and who was lying to him. Kaitlyn promised Faysal she had never lied to his face -- ever -- but he didn't believe her.

Kaitlyn was getting frustrated Faysal wasn't listening to her, and so she said she was done with him.

Meanwhile, Sam discussed with her fellow houseguests how she didn't want to talk strategy, goals or plans for her HoH reign. She told everyone not to worry about who was going on the block.

Sam didn't want people campaigning to stay or get rid of someone else, and she certainly didn't want any of the players to know what she was thinking.

Sam announced that once her nominations were made, people could just duke it out in the Power of Veto competition for the desired result.

Kaitlyn then questioned Haleigh and Rockstar whether Tyler and JC had flipped on their alliance, but Haleigh didn't think that was the case.

Kaitlyn therefore assumed Sam had used her power app already to possibly steal two votes away from evicting Brett, resulting in Winston's ouster.

Kaitlyn thought she was right because she had a hard time believing anyone in her group would flip, but she was wrong.

Afterward, Rockstar spent some time banging pots and pans to annoy Brett, but Brett admitted her behavior worked to his advantage because she was also bothering other people in the house.

A tense conversation between JC and Bayleigh then took place in the house -- a conversation Big Brother house Julie Chen had previously teased would be shown on Sunday night.

Bayleigh asked JC -- who stands 4'8" -- "Okay, let me ask you this: Is there a difference between a m-dget and a dwarf?"

JC replied, "'M-dget' is like saying 'gay' and 'f--got,' or like, 'n--ga' and 'black.'"

The African American flight attendant appeared floored by JC's use of the term and condemned him for using it.

"You're not allowed to say that," Bayleigh noted while shaking her head with her eyes wide. "Don't do that again. That was, like, out of control. Don't do that again."

Bayleigh said the "N-word" is very offensive and hurtful to the African American community, and she scolded JC regardless of his intent or the context of how the word was used.

JC said he was just trying to make a point and would never use that word in any other situation.

While JC's comment also angered many viewers of the live feeds, he told Bayleigh that he understood where she was coming from because he had faced much adversity and bullying in his life.

Similarly, Bayleigh revealed she was a black girl growing up in an all-white community.

JC ultimately apologized for saying the offensive word, and Bayleigh eventually came around, recognizing there was a language barrier and JC was just trying to educate her on what derogatory terms should not be used.

JC and Bayleigh bonded over how it took them a lot of time to feel comfortable in their own skin and really accept who they are.

Their difficult pasts have only made them stronger and better people now. At the end of the day, both individuals have trigger words and won't tolerate anyone saying them.

The episode concluded with the Nomination Ceremony. Sam announced she had decided to nominate Haleigh and Kaitlyn for eviction because they took the most from the house and contributed the least.

Sam also accused the two women of treating young men in the house poorly through manipulation and sex appeal.

Sam suggested the girls were disrespecting the male houseguests and not respecting themselves either. Sam called such gameplay "cheap."

Haleigh and Kaitlyn cried in the Diary Room about Sam's cruel words, and Haleigh was upset because she wasn't the only girl who flirted in the house. She was also embarrassed because her family has been watching the show.

Kaitlyn added that such accusations were hurtful on a personal level and Sam was doing the exact opposite of women supporting women.

Faysal told the cameras that taking a shot at his girls means taking a shot at him, and he was prepared to go after Sam.
