Big Brother houseguest David Alexander was eliminated from the Big Brother house after losing a competition against three other "banished" players and Christie Murphy subsequently won the first Head of Household competition during Wednesday night's Season 21 broadcast on CBS.

"Camp director" Jackson Michie, a 23-year-old server from Nashville, TN, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, was asked to banish four people from the house after coming into power.

Jackson chose to banish David, a 29-year-old photographer from Atlanta, GA; Jessica Milagros, a plus-size model in her thirties from Chicago, IL, who currently resides in Oak Park, IL; Kemi Faknule, a 25-year-old marketing strategist from Elkridge, MD, who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY; and Cliff Hogg III, a 53-year-old petroleum engineer from Houston, TX.

After the four banished houseguests competed in a competition, David was sent packing.

"I don't want to go home. The reason I wanted to win and the reason I wanted to compete on this show was I wanted to be the first black person to win Big Brother," David said following his ouster.

"I wanted to represent African American culture in a different light; I wanted to show that. I wanted to show it. But Julie said I'm out of the Big Brother house 'for now,' so there is still some hope."

And later, Christie, a 28-year-old boutique owner from Staten Island, NY, who currently resides in Keyport, NJ, came into power as the first HoH of the summer.

The Big Brother broadcast began with Jackson hearing everyone out as they begged, pleaded and attempted to make deals not to be banished.

Jessica went into "BB Camp" voting thinking she was going to become the "camp director," and now she recognized she might be one of the person left fighting for her life in this game.

Meanwhile, Kemi didn't feel the need to campaign to stay because Jackson had never scratched her back in return.

Jackson; Jack Matthews, a 28-year-old fitness trainer from Chicago, IL, who currently resides in Tampa, FL; and Isabella Wang, a 22-year-old public health analyst from Mount Olive, NJ, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, were then shown making a three-person alliance.

Jack then threw out the names of possible people to banish for Jackson: Jessica, Cliff and David.

Those three people had volunteered to become camp director, so Jackson thought he had a good excuse for banishing them.

Jackson just needed to make sure he rallied enough people to have his back and be a strong support system once three houseguests returned to the game.

Jack mentioned David would likely win a spot back in the game but he'd never be able to turn anybody and was simply a nice guy.

Jackson then pulled David aside and said he was thinking about banishing David as a pawn and putting him against three people whom Jackson knew he could beat.

Jackson said his plan was for David to definitely return, but David didn't like the idea at all. In fact, it pissed David off and he said it wasn't cool.

Big Brother host Julie Chen then gathered all of the houseguests into the living room, where Jackson was asked to announce his selections for banishment.

Jackson chose to banish Cliff, Kemi -- because she didn't make much of an effort to talk to him -- Jessica, and finally David.

Jackson wasn't sure if it was worth banishing David because he could return to the game and then go after him, but he decided to go through it anyways.

Once Jackson chose his four houseguests to send packing, a giant squirrel entered the house and took those people away in a big bag.

Suddenly, Cliff, Kemi, Jessica and David found themselves in the wilderness. Their objective was to find their way back to "Camp BB," but Julie said their quest would be a great challenge since they were in total darkness.

The players were required to follow signs and enter tree trunks that would lead them back to camp, but some tree trunks served as a gateway to random, other camps.

The first three houseguests to find their way back to "Camp BB" would re-enter the game, while the last person remaining in the wilderness would be evicted from the Big Brother game.

Some of the tree trunks welcomed the players into "Camp Bee Bee" or "Camp B-Ball," for example, but Cliff managed to find his way back into the house in first place.

Kemi finished the task in second place and planned to "kill Jackson with kindness" and then "stab him in the front." And finally, Jessica finished in third place and won a spot back into the game, and she said there was "hell to pay."

David was therefore eliminated -- "for now," according to Julie.

Tommy Bracco, a 28-year-old Broadway dancer from Staten Island, NY, and Christie later determined they were on the same page.

"I did date someone from Tommy's family and things didn't end that great, so I just really hope anything from the past or any baggage doesn't affect our game going forward," Christie said in the Diary Room.

Tommy hoped Christie's presence would be a blessing instead of a curse, and he planned to work with Christie going forward.

Tommy thought they could make a great team, even if their alliance upset his family a bit, but he told Christie to stay away from him and not make their friendship obvious.

Although Jackson's guy friends were happy David didn't return, saying it was best case scenario, Jackson acknowledged Jessica was a smart player and she was "coming in hot" for him.

Jack, Jackson, and Nick Maccarone, a 27-year-old child mental health therapist from Sewell, NJ, determined they needed to solidify a six-person alliance and would need to recruit more women in order to do that.

Nick then approached Christie and asked her to be in their alliance along with Isabella and Holly Allen, a 31-year-old wine safari guide from Lander, WY, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Christie was so excited to be invited into a six-person alliance of strong people.

"As long as one of us wins HoH, we are golden," Christie told the cameras.

Nick then worked on Holly, and she was also thrilled to join "the power six."

The episode concluded with the first Head of Household competition of the summer, and Jackson had one last duty to perform that could heavily influence the competition.

The HoH competition was played in pairs of two. On Julie's "go," each pair had to climb onto their HoH log and simply attempt to hold on tight as they were slimed and blasted with rain and air.

The last houseguest hanging onto his or her log would become the first Head of Household of the summer.

Even though they would be paired up, it was still an individual competition.

Jackson, who was already safe from eviction this week, was asked to choose whom would be paired up. In order to avoid getting more blood on his hands, Jackson acted like his teams were picked totally at random and there was no strategy.

Jackson paired Kathryn Dunn, a 29-year-old digital marketing executive from Irving, TX, who currently resides in Dallas, TX, with Jack.

Sam Smith, a 31-year-old truck driver from West Nanticoke, PA, who currently resides in Mountain Top, PA, was paired with Nicole Anthony, a 24-year-old preschool aide from Long Island, NY.

Holly was matched with Ovi Kabir, a 22-year-old college student from Oakridge, TN, who currently resides in Knoxville, TN.

After Jackson paired Isabella and Nick, he also put Analyse Talavera, a 22-year-old college soccer star from Northridge, CA, who currently resides in Simi Valley, CA, with Cliff.

And finally, Tommy and Jessica were also paired, as well as Christie and Kemi.

The competition came down to Tommy, Analyse, Christie and Holly. Christie and Holly were the only two members left in their six-person alliance still hanging on.

Analyse dropped next, and then she was followed by Holly and then Tommy.

Christie therefore won the first Head of Household competition of the summer, and she said in the Diary Room that Tommy was not going to be her target.

"I'm half excited and half terrified. I'm not sure if I wanted this but here we are!" Christie said.

Jack said the challenge went great because two of his alliance members were HoH and camp director.
