Big Brother's Season 17 houseguests evicted both Shelli Poole and Jackie Ibarra during a special double-eviction episode Thursday night on CBS.

The broadcast began with Shelli and Vanessa Rousso on the chopping block thanks to Head of Household Becky Burgess. Becky said all the votes she needed to get rid of Vanessa were from James Huling, Jackie, Meg Maley and John McGuire -- resulting in a tie which she would break as HoH.

Meanwhile, Vanessa went looking for answers about being backdoored but Becky didn't care to explain anything to talk to her. Vanessa told the cameras Becky was "venomous." She also said to Vanessa's face she's a cold-hearted person and didn't understand why.

Vanessa then asked Steve to vote to save her, but Steve confessed in the diary room she had to go home and it would be a bad move for him to go against the house. One of his closest allies was John, so he didn't want to upset him and lose his trust either.

In a last-ditch effort to convince people she should stay in the house, Vanessa told James she was on the block because she had kept her word but Becky didn't. Vanessa explained to James that Becky was playing both sides of the house, as she had previously leaked information to Shelli and Clay, which was true. Vanessa also pointed out Becky had thrown him under the bus before.

James acknowledged there had been "a rat" in his alliance when he had served as HoH, and Vanessa insisted that person was Becky. James then discussed with some members of his alliance maybe they should oust Shelli instead. Meg asked James to think logically and take his feelings out of it, but they seemed to come around to his perspective.

Host Julie Chen then announced to the houseguests it was a double-eviction night. The two people to leave the house would become the first two members of Big Brother's seventeenth-season jury. However, Julie reminded them that being a jury member didn't necessarily mean they'd be out of the game.

At the first live eviction vote, the houseguests unanimously decided to get rid of Shelli. In her post-eviction interview, Shelli told Julie she felt a bit betrayed by Vanessa and believed James played a role in her elimination. Shelli also said she didn't regret being in a showmance with Clay Honeycutt even though it made them targets, and she wanted John or Steve to win the game.

It then became time for the next HoH competition. Dubbed "Getting Loopy," the participating players had to answer statements "true or false" based on funny video clips they were supposed to memorize ahead of time.

Steve ended up winning the competition and almost immediately chose to nominate Meg and Jackie for eviction. Meg, being so popular in the house, appeared to be a pawn.

At the subsequent Power of Veto competition, the houseguests were required to roll balls down a hand-held ski slope in attempt to land three balls into a series of three holes in order. John won the "Slippery Slope" competition, and after briefly chatting with Steve, he opted not to use the PoV on anyone. John's decision ultimately kept Steve's nominations the same.

While on the chopping block, Meg reminded everyone she had played a loyal game and loved everyone. Jackie explained there must've been some type of miscommunication and therefore apologized for whatever the incident was.

At the second live eviction of the night, everyone voted to oust Jackie from Big Brother except for Becky, who cast her vote to evict Meg.

The 6-1 vote sent Jackie packing, and she later told Julie that Steve thought she was coming after him even though her real plan had been to target Austin Matelson.
