Amanda, a 28-year-old real estate agent from Long Island, NY who currently resides in Boynton Beach, FL, was evicted from the Big Brother house via a 3-2 vote after being placed on the chopping block by the season's tenth Head of Household -- GinaMarie Zimmerman, a 32-year-old pageant coordinator from Brooklyn, NY who currently resides in Staten Island, NY.
"I don't know [what happened]. I'm actually really dumbfounded. I think maybe Elissa may not have voted for me, but she gave me some collateral that I think was real, her wedding ring, which is in my suitcase. If it's real, yeah, it's going to stay in my suitcase!" Amanda told Big Brother host Julie Chen following her eviction.
"I wanted the rest of the house to think that [Andy Herren] didn't vote for me so people wouldn't be going after him -- so [Spencer Clawson] wouldn't be going after him... [and] I'm definitely not a bully actually. When I came into this house, the number one thing I always said was I hate it when people bully other people. I know that's funny, [but] from outside of the house, you really can't tell what's going on inside of the house. To be honest with you, I was just honest with people, and people didn't want to hear the truth... The one thing that I do regret is bullying Elissa... I could've been nicer to people."
The vote was a 2-2 tie between Amanda and Spencer, a 31-year-old conductor from Conway, AR, so GinaMarie cast the tie-breaking vote as the reigning HoH.
Spencer got votes from Elissa, a 27-year-old nutritionist from Concord, NC who currently resides in Kannapolis, NC and is former Big Brother winner Rachel Reilly's sister, and McCrae Olson, a 23-year-old pizza delivery person from Zimmerman, MN who currently resides in Oak Grove, MN.
Amanda received votes from Andy, a 26-year-old professor from Aurora, IL who currently resides in Chicago, IL, and Judd Daugherty, a 26-year-old property appraiser from Englewood, TN who currently resides in Etowah, TN.
GinaMarie initially nominated Amanda and McCrae with the intention of getting one of the powerful showmance members out of the game. She concocted the plan with her "Exterminators" alliance comprised of Andy, Judd and Spencer. Elissa was the alliance's next target, but since Elissa saved GinaMarie from eviction the week prior, GinaMarie did her a favor this time around.
GinaMarie's nominations shocked and blindsided Amanda, who believed Elissa and Judd were going up on the block. When she revealed her nominations, GinaMarie said McCrae had lost his fire and Amanda was just acting crazy. Amanda turned from vengeful to tearful and wrongly thought she had Andy and Spencer on her side. She figured Judd was working with Elissa, who began questioning Andy's loyalty because it was becoming increasingly obvious he was trying to work both sides of the house.
McCrae subsequently won the Power of Veto competition, taking himself off the block. As a result, GinaMarie named Spencer the replacement nominee just as a pawn because she planned to target Amanda. Spencer was on the block for a record seventh time this season.
On Day 74, which marked Big Brother's 500th episode, Amanda turned on her charm and tried to convince Elissa that she'd be the group's next big target if Amanda was to get evicted. Amanda promised to have Elissa's back if she flipped, and Elissa realized it made sense to keep a bigger target around in the house than herself. She also told Amanda she trusted her and McCrae more than GinaMarie and Spencer. Although Elissa voted to evict Spencer, Amanda still received the majority of votes and got the boot.
Following Amanda's eviction, the remaining houseguests -- minus GinaMarie, who as the outgoing HoH, was deemed ineligible to participate -- competed in the season's eleventh Head of Household competition.
Dubbed "Go Fetch," the competition required the houseguests to race across the yard through their dog house and into their dog pen. Once there, they had to dig and retrieve two bones, and then one at a time, bring them both back to their dog bowl. The first houseguest to fetch both dog bones, deposit them in their dog bowl, retrieve their key, and then buzz in would become the new HoH.
McCrae became the season's eleventh HoH and almost immediately nominated GinaMarie and Elissa for eviction without an explanation. He seemingly put GinaMarie on the block for revenge and Elissa because the pair had basically been on the outs since the beginning of the game. McCrae was also probably unaware Elissa had just voted to keep Amanda in the game.
Judd subsequently won the PoV competition by completing a maze before all of his fellow houseguests, and he decided to keep McCrae's nominations the same.
Elissa was then voted out of the Big Brother house via a unanimous 3-0 vote.
"I honestly thought McCrae was going to vote to keep Amanda and I think that he changed his mind," Elissa said during her post-eviction interview with Julie, explaining she thought McCrae stabbed his girlfriend in the back.
"Because Andy looked so shocked. I don't know. It's so crazy... When I came into this game, I wanted to playBig Brother, and I was so excited to have this opportunity, and I just didn't want to think with my emotions ever. I just wanted to use my head, and I knew her and McCrae being a showmance was a bigger target than I am. So I just figured if I kept her in the house, that they would be going up and that would just buy me another week. It just stinks. I should've won that HoH."
