Big Brother's Head of Household Shelli Poole determined the week's official two eviction nominations following the Power of Veto competition during Wednesday night's broadcast on CBS.

Big Brother's seventh episode began with Da'Vonne Rogers venting about how it was obvious John McGuire had thrown the Battle of the Block competition so they'd remain on the chopping block together -- and she'd remain Shelli's No. 1 target. Da'Vonne felt the whole house was working as a unit to get her out.

Clay Honeycutt and Shelli assured John he wasn't going home and commended him for trusting them and throwing the BoB competition. Clay was proud of Shelli for her gameplay, telling her that it was making him all "hot and bothered." It's clear the couple is in the beginning stages of a showmance.

Meanwhile, no one was talking strategy with Audrey Middleton, so that felt suspicious to her. What she didn't know was the majority of the house thought Audrey was the main target and would be going home before Da'Vonne. The dethroned HoH for the week, Becky Burgess, was convinced the plan was to backdoor Audrey.

However, Shelli thought Da'Vonne was a bigger threat to her game since she'd never really trust her and Clay. Clay and Shelli were trying to work with Audrey to get Da'Vonne out, and she sucked up to Clay badly. He promised to keep Audrey safe

When it became time for the Power of Veto competition, Audrey wasn't picked to play. The following houseguests participated in the challenge: Da'Vonne, John, Shelli, Steve Moses, Meg Maley and Clay.

John ended up winning the PoV, and Shelli and Clay later tried to persuade him to stay on the chopping block as a pawn. But he wasn't having it. John told Shelli that if he stayed on the block, it would reveal their alliance.

Da'Vonne hoped Shelli would put Audrey up on the block next to her. Da'Vonne thought that was her only chance of survival since the house really wanted Audrey gone.

Shelli then found herself in a place she didn't want to be in because she had to name a replacement nominee.

Shelli was worried about blindsiding and betraying Becky since they had initially made the plan to get out Audrey together. Clay, however, reminded Shelli that Da'Vonne and her ally Jason Roy had the ability to round up many more troops than Audrey could.

Shelli then explained her case to Becky. Becky was wary of the new plan since she didn't trust Audrey at all, but Shelli said Becky could win Head of Household again and nominate Audrey. Shelli, on the other hand, couldn't play for the next HoH so it was important to get rid of the person in the house gunning for her. Becky decided she trusted Shelli and her gameplay.

Shelli considered nominating Liz Nolan as a pawn because she wasn't strongly aligned with anyone in the house. Liz got upset because she knew she wouldn't have the numbers to save herself. Shelli asked Liz not to say anything because then Da'Vonne could rally people. Becky comforted Liz by saying she wasn't a threat to anyone in the house.

Vanessa Rousso then warned Shelli that Da'Vonne was trying to get people to go after her and Clay -- such as Meg, Jason and James Huling -- because they were starting to appear as a power couple. Austin Matelson told Shelli and Clay the same thing, which made the duo nervous. Austin explained Da'Vonne had seven people who could flip the whole thing.

Shelli therefore realized a pawn like Liz, who had no strong ties to her own group or Da'Vonne's group, would give Da'Vonne more power. Shelli thought she needed to pick a pawn right out of Da'Vonne's alliance or someone extremely likable -- someone whom the house wouldn't want to get rid of.

Shelli determined Meg would make a great pawn because she was very sweet. Da'Vonne's group wouldn't want to evict one of their own. Clay, however, was starting to really butt heads with Audrey. He threatened Audrey that if she didn't cooperate, he'd go after her instead. Audrey flipped out and swore at Clay for being condescending.

In the end, John used the PoV on himself to remove himself from the chopping block. Shelli named Meg as her replacement nominee. Meg knew she was a pawn and noted that Da'Vonne had no fighting chance to stay. Da'Vonne also acknowledged everyone loved Meg, but she wasn't going to give up.

Jason pointed out at the end of the episode that maybe Kathy Griffin's "Last Laugh" twist for the new "BB Takeover" could work in his alliance's favor.
