BET reveals judges, host and grand prize for new 'Sunday Best' series

BET has announced the host, judges and grand prize package for Sunday Best, a new reality competition series that will aim to find the country's next great gospel singer.

Grammy Award-winning gospel, hip-hop and R&B artist Kirk Franklin will host Sunday Best, which will scour the country for talented, undiscovered gospel singers who regularly perform at churches both big and small.
Fellow Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Bebe Winans and gospel duo Mary Mary will judge the contestants each week while also serving as mentors to help them perfect their vocal abilities.

Once the undiscovered singers are whittled down to the Top 5 finalists, they'll be coached by artists from the gospel and secular worlds in an attempt to win the "Sunday Best" title, a grand prize package that includes a recording contract, a Toyota Camry, as well as cash and prizes for their home church.

The previously announced reality talent competition series is scheduled to premiere Tuesday, October 2 at 8PM ET/PT on BET.

In addition, BET announced Sunday Best will serve as a lead-in for Exalted!, a new documentary series that profiles ministers from across the country, which is scheduled to air Tuesdays at 9PM ET/PT beginning October 2.
