British authorities said a woman who received $23,400 in benefits claiming to be a single mom was found out when she posted pictures of her husband on Facebook.

Prosecutors said Kim Stokes, 36, of Telford, England, who pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of failing to notify changes in her circumstances to the Department for Work and Pensions between May 2007 and October 2009, claimed to be a single mother who was separated from her husband, but pictures and statements on Facebook revealed the couple were still together, The Sun reported Wednesday.

"I've been with my hubby for 16 years and we are still very much in love," Stokes wrote in her Facebook "About Me" section.

Deputy District Judge David Stott sentenced Stokes to a 12-month community order including 200 hours of unpaid work. She was also ordered to pay $156 in costs.
