The New York Post says Patricia Fairhurst, owner of Guss' Pickles on Orchard St., is suing a rival vendor, alleging he stole the name of the landmark pickle business on the city's Lower East Side.
Fairhurst said she bought the Orchard St. business because of its 90-year reputation, the Post reported. Fairhurst said she was "unaware that Andrew Leibowitz had made a verbal agreement with the previous owner to also use the name."
